T-Stagg Photography | About

Hi there, sweets!  Thanks so much for visiting my home away from home!  A little about myself--I am a wife to my amazing best friend, Jon, a mommy to my little guys Henry (7) and Nicholas (5), and a passionate natural light (with some flash when required) photographer of your adorable children, amazing families and gorgeous wedding days. I adore chocolate, binge watching Netflix while putting on my makeup or at the gym (because who really enjoys those two things a whole lot--if you do, well, more power to ya.  Teach me your ways! ;) ), and I love traveling with my hubby and kiddos.

My photographic style is one focused on telling your story. It's artistic and candid, warm and full of love.  Yes, we'll do a couple of posed, "look straight at me" shots, but my overall focus and goal is capturing natural interactions between you and your family or your significant other, etc.  I am very laid back,  and I strive to make your experience with me a fun and relaxed one.  I will help you prep before your session (I have so many pinterest outfit boards to send you!), calm your nerves when you arrive (yes, I can photoshop out dirt and koolaid stains on your kiddos new shirt) and make sure that you have a wonderful time whether you're just getting your little's updated portraits or are coming to me to capture your wedding day or the arrival of your newborn baby.  Trust me--you will laugh, cuddle, and maybe even dance a little.  Above all, I will make sure that we capture photographs that you will treasure.

My "why".  Why do I do I do photography, why do I have such a passion about it, why do I think it's so important?  Well, I think it all started when I was younger-I grew up when film was the only option to capture moments and my mom would often pull out her little camera and capture my sisters and I  playing at my grandfather's house, celebrating birthdays and lost teeth or capturing memories at some family event.  I think I learned from an early age the importance of taking photographs to help remember special times in our lives. As I've gotten older, memories, even important ones, tend to fade or blur as time passes, and it's made me realize, especially now that I have my own family and children and as I've had family members and friends pass away, that photographs have this amazing ability to hold on to instances and transport us back to those moments whenever we look at a particular canvas on the wall or a photo in an album or frame. It's a timeless gift, and one I want to give to each and everyone of the families and couples I have the joy to work with.

So,  thanks so much for visiting me today.  I hope you've found some photographs you like, enjoyed learning a bit about me, and consider me a good fit for ya!  Please don't hesitate to contact me for a cup of coffee and a chat if you have any questions or need anything at all.  Take a look around, and enjoy!
